Preparation

- Pat the whole chicken dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated.
Cooking
- Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 30 minutes without opening the fryer.
- Carefully flip the chicken and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, until its internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Allow the chicken to rest for about 10 minutes before carving and serving.
