  • 1 whole chicken 1 whole chicken (about 4-5 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  2. Pat the whole chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it's evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook for 30 minutes without opening the fryer.
  3. Carefully flip the chicken and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, until its internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Allow the chicken to rest for about 10 minutes before carving and serving.
