Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until it's just al dente; then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-blended.
Layering
- Take half of the ziti and layer it in a greased baking dish.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture over this layer.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the ricotta layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti and ricotta mixture, finishing with a sprinkle of mozzarella.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes to set the layers before serving.
