- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set this aside for later.
- Using an electric mixer, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and add the eggs, one at a time, making sure everything is nicely blended.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined—don’t overdo it.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Drop generous spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, keeping an eye out for golden edges and a slightly underbaked center.
- Let them cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
