Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cake mix, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Stir gently.
- Pour in the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Dust your countertop with flour and knead the dough for about 6-8 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour, until doubled in size.
Filling and Baking
- Once risen, roll the dough out into a rectangle and spread the softened butter over the surface.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the butter.
- Carefully roll the dough from the long side into a tight log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish and allow them to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once cool, drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the top and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles.
