  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 4 cups beef broth Use low-sodium if preferred.
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups pasta (like macaroni or small shells)
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, making sure to drain off any excess fat.
  2. Toss in your chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrots, and celery. Cook everything together until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and water, and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Stir in your pasta along with the Italian herbs, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes until the pasta reaches the perfect al dente.
  5. Add in the frozen peas and season with salt and pepper to taste; let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is warmed through.
