  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup cooked rice Can substitute with brown rice for healthier option.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup beef broth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion until it is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In the prepared baking dish, layer half of the cabbage, followed by the beef mixture, cooked rice, diced tomatoes, and the remaining cabbage.
  5. Pour the beef broth over the top and cover the dish with foil.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
