Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta Any pasta shape can work.
  • 1 lb Cajun sausage, sliced Choose spicy or mild based on preference.
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or Parmesan recommended.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Olive oil For cooking.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat a little olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced Cajun sausage and cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Sauté diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic until soft, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in Cajun seasoning and mix well with the sautéed vegetables.
  5. Add pasta and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until pasta is cooked al dente.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese until cheese is melted and well combined.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
