- Slice the ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese into round slices.
- Arrange the tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and red onion rings on a serving plate, alternating them.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the layers.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately as a refreshing salad or side dish.
Notes
Caprese Salad is best served fresh, but if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day.
