- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice wine, five-spice powder, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and ensure they are coated evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking tray with foil for easy cleanup and place the marinated chicken on it, pouring any extra marinade over the chicken.
- Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the edges are beautifully caramelized.
- For an extra touch of goodness, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes to get that irresistible glaze.
- Once done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh green onions just before serving.
