  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup for natural sweetness
  • 1/2 cup nut butter almond or peanut butter works wonders
  • 1/4 cup milk or a dairy-free alternative
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, chopped apples, cinnamon, and salt. Make sure everything is evenly distributed!
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey or maple syrup, nut butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until every oat and apple piece is well-coated.
  4. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, then firmly press the mixture into the bottom of the dish.
  5. Refrigerate the dish for at least 2 hours to let the bars set.
  6. After chilling, slice into bars and enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
