  • 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies Feel free to experiment with homemade pierogies.
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced You can substitute with turkey sausage for a healthier option.
  • 3 cups chicken broth Good quality broth makes a difference.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Reserve an extra cup for topping.
  • 1 block cream cheese 8 oz block.
  • 1 cup chicken broth For mixing in later.
Seasoning

  • to taste pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pour 3 cups of chicken broth into the base of the crockpot.
  2. Place the frozen pierogies directly into the broth.
  3. Distribute the sliced kielbasa evenly over the pierogies.
  4. Place dollops of cream cheese throughout the layers.
  5. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over everything.
  6. Sprinkle in salt and pepper as desired.
  7. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, then cover and let cook for about 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.

Notes
