  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with coconut milk or plant-based cream for a lighter version.
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika Can substitute with sweet paprika or cayenne for extra heat.
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley Adds color and freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until they are softened and fragrant.
  3. Season the chicken drumsticks generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  4. Place the chicken in the skillet and brown them well on all sides.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, cover the skillet, and allow to simmer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid and stir in the heavy cream.
  7. Continue cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
