Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6 pieces chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until they are softened and fragrant.
  2. Season the chicken drumsticks generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Place them in the skillet and brown them well on all sides.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, cover the skillet, and allow to simmer for about 20 minutes. This helps the chicken become tender and flavorful.
  4. Remove the lid and stir in the heavy cream. Continue cooking for another 10 to 15 minutes, watching as the sauce thickens and clings beautifully to the chicken.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving for that extra pop of color and freshness.

Notes

Pairs well with mashed potatoes, steamed green beans, or a fresh salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container and let it cool completely before sealing.
