  • 0.5 cup sour cream Can swap for Greek yogurt for a tangy twist.
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional for searing the chicken.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Optional Sear: If desired, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  2. Prep the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine: Place the chicken in the CrockPot and pour the creamy sauce over it, ensuring it is well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is easily shredded with a fork.
Serving
  1. Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley before serving warm with rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
