Ingredients
  

Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 oz 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or your choice) Any pasta shape will work.
Cheese Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup 1 cup ricotta cheese Can use low-fat ricotta.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Let sit at room temperature for better blending.
Additional Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves 2 cloves garlic, minced Watch garlic closely to avoid burning.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Don't forget to taste for seasoning.
  • Fresh basil for garnish Adds color and flavor.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook your pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain it and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once it shimmers, add the minced garlic and sauté it for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and gently stir in the ricotta and Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Combining and Seasoning
  1. Combine your cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, making sure every piece is well coated.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Serve it warm, garnished with fresh basil.
