Ingredients

Pasta ingredients
  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine Choose your favorite pasta shape
  • 1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced Fresh and juicy is best
  • 1 cup heavy cream For that luscious sauce
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced Don’t skimp on this if you love garlic!
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil For sautéing
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped For that fresh pop of flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until it turns golden brown—about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, a pinch of salt, and a few cracks of pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to enhance those flavors.
  4. Lower the heat, then stir in the heavy cream, mixing until well-blended and warmed through.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring each strand is luxuriously coated.
  6. Serve topped with fresh basil for brightness, and add optional grated Parmesan cheese for an extra layer of flavor.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes with garlic. For a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth instead of olive oil.
