Preparation
- Chop the onion, bell pepper, and garlic into small pieces.
Cooking
- Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the beef mince to the pan and cook, stirring frequently, until liquid evaporates and the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine dark soy sauce, sriracha, tomato puree, honey, and a splash of water. Mix well.
- Pour the sauce into the pan with the cooked beef and stir well. Let it cook until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked rice and stir to coat evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve in bowls with optional garnishes of sliced spring onions and sesame seeds.
