  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts Choose firm, bright green sprouts.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For tossing the Brussels sprouts.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder For seasoning.
Coating
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Can substitute with Pecorino.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free if needed.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until they are well coated.
Coating
  1. In another bowl, mix together Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs until combined.
  2. Sprinkle the cheese and breadcrumb mixture generously over the Brussels sprouts and toss again to ensure every sprout is coated.
Roasting
  1. Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a baking sheet in a single layer to help them crisp evenly.
  2. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. Once done, take them out and serve warm.
