Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
- Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust.
Topping
- In another bowl, combine the softened butter, flour, and brown sugar; mix until crumbly.
- Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Lower the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 30-40 minutes.
- Look for tender apples and a golden brown topping.
Serving
- Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
