Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, breadcrumbs, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients with your hands until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, roughly the size of a golf ball, and place them in a baking dish, nestled together.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
