Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta of your choice Any type of pasta works well.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh broccoli is recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Adjust to taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional) Can be omitted for vegan version.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, if using. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. Combine the cooked pasta with the broccoli mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave. You can use frozen broccoli if needed, just thaw and drain before adding.
