Ingredients
  

For the bread
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk can substitute with non-dairy milk
  • 1 egg can substitute with a flax egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles
For the glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to your butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Gently stir in the red and green sprinkles.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top for an even bake.
  2. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Glazing
  1. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle generously over the cooled bread and sprinkle a few more festive sprinkles on top before slicing.
