Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Patties
  • 1 lb ground chicken Feel free to swap with ground turkey.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano Fresh herbs can be used instead.
  • 1 tsp dried basil Fresh herbs can be used instead.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt Adjust to taste.
For Serving
  • Buns, pita, or lettuce wraps Your choice for serving.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix by hand for even blending.
  2. Form the mixture into evenly sized patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked; the internal temperature should reach 165°F.
Making Tzatziki Sauce
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to taste.
Assembly
  1. Serve the juicy chicken patties on buns, inside pita pockets, or wrapped in crisp lettuce. Generously spoon the tzatziki sauce on top.

Notes
