  • 2 pieces bell peppers (any color, chopped) Add other vegetables as desired.
  • 1 piece onion (chopped) Use yellow or white onion for best flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Adjust to taste.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant—about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Toss in the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until it’s browned all the way through, making sure to stir occasionally.
  4. Stir in the chopped bell peppers along with the Italian seasoning. Let everything cook together until the peppers are tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Give it a good stir.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or quinoa if desired.
