  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Mozerella or Pepper Jack can be used for a twist.
  • 1 onion, diced
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened.
  3. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Season them with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Distribute the cooked beef and onion mixture evenly over the potato layer.
  5. Spread the can of cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer, and then add the remaining potato slices on top.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the potatoes.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 1 hour.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
