  • 1 medium onion, chopped Sautéed with ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat; drain excess fat.
Layering and Baking
  1. In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes.
  2. Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
  3. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
