Ingredients
  

Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken) Choose your preferred type of ground meat.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Fresh ginger enhances the flavor; pre-minced ginger can save time.
  • 1/2 cup honey Adjust the amount to taste if you prefer less sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Can substitute with teriyaki sauce for a sweeter flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season to your preference.
Rice and Broth
  • 1 cup uncooked rice Any variety of rice can be used.
  • 2 cups chicken broth Vegetable broth can be used for a vegetarian option.
Vegetables
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh) Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
  • green onions for garnish Chopped green onions to garnish just before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, minced garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
Assembly
  1. Spread uncooked rice in a baking dish and pour the chicken broth over it.
  2. Place the meatballs on top of the rice, then add the mixed vegetables.
Baking
  1. Tent the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30-40 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and the rice is tender.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes for a slightly crispy top.
Serving
  1. Before serving, sprinkle some chopped green onions for a fresh pop of color and flavor.

Notes
