  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons honey Adjust according to sweetness preference
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Can substitute with tamari or coconut aminos
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional) Adds extra tang
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper; cook until shrimp are pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  2. Pour sauce over shrimp and stir to coat.
  3. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the shrimp. Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference. For additional flavor, add a bit of lemon juice or zest to the sauce.
