  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Use large shrimp for best texture.
Dredging Mixture
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust based on spice preference.
Glaze
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Adjust for desired heat level.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For frying.
  • Vegetable oil for frying Amount as needed.
Garnish
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Dredge the peeled and deveined shrimp in the flour mixture until well coated.
Frying
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high until hot but not smoking.
  2. Carefully add the shrimp in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Glazing
  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey and hot sauce over low heat and stir until combined.
  2. Once the shrimp are fried, toss them in the hot honey glaze until coated.
  3. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley or cilantro.
