- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart, until it’s browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Toss in the minced garlic and cook for about a minute, just until it’s fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the beef.
- Spoon the beef mixture over warm, fluffy rice and top with sliced green onions.
