Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ziti pasta Use any type of ziti pasta.
  • 1 pound Ground beef Can substitute with turkey or veggie crumbles.
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese For creaminess.
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded, for topping.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese For a flavorful topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil. Add the ziti and cook until just al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Once done, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it into small pieces while it cooks.
  3. Once the beef is no longer pink, pour in the marinara sauce. Stir and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, followed by half of the meat sauce mixture.
  5. Spoon dollops of ricotta over the meat layer, then sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  6. Repeat layering with the remaining ziti and meat sauce, then top with the rest of the mozzarella and a dusting of Parmesan.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
