Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced smoked sausage, diced potatoes, and chopped onion.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and mix until everything is well-coated.
  4. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are fork-tender and the cheese is bubbling.

Notes
