Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces, about an inch wide.
- Melt the butter in a bowl, then mix in the lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper.
- Set up your assembly line: dip each fish piece first in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
- Lay the fish bites on a baking sheet and drizzle with the lemon butter mixture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare the garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Serve the fish bites hot alongside the garlic aioli.
