Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your muffin tin.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sausage and sauté until browned. If using plant-based sausage, cook until heated through.
- Stir in the flour (or cornstarch) and cook for another minute to create a roux.
- Gradually pour in the cream while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Allow it to thicken a bit, then season with salt and pepper.
Assembly
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, shredded turkey, herbs, and chopped green onions.
- Pour the creamy sausage mixture over this and mix well.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, pressing down slightly.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of each cup.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
