  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute with oat flour or whole wheat flour.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Creamy or crunchy, your choice.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey Use maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Ensure dairy-free for vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, peanut butter, maple syrup (or honey), and a pinch of salt. Mix well until a dough forms.
  2. Press your mixture into a lined 8x8 inch baking pan, making sure to press down firmly.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring each time until fully melted.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate over the almond base, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let it set beautifully.
  6. Once set, take it out, cut into bars, and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
