- Boil a pot of water and cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and bell peppers, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until the peppers are tender and the sausage is browned.
- Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for around 5 minutes.
- Toss the cooked penne pasta into the skillet, mixing until heated through and well combined.
Serving
- Serve hot, optionally topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh herbs like basil or parsley.
