Preparation
  1. Boil a pot of water and cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and bell peppers, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until the peppers are tender and the sausage is browned.
  2. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for around 5 minutes.
  3. Toss the cooked penne pasta into the skillet, mixing until heated through and well combined.
Serving
