Preparation
  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cool running water. If you choose to peel them, do so now.

  4. Pour in your choice of beef or chicken broth, allowing it to soak into the potatoes.
  5. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  6. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. Once tender, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
